Artist Statement
Reality is a perception, shaped by what we choose to see. For generations, humanity has imagined itself as superior to nature in a comforting fiction of control. My work confronts the fractures in that narrative, offering reimagined, conceptual perspectives that reveal the shared connections between people, animals, and the fragile systems that sustain us.
Graphite grounds my process, its gray tonal range reflecting the moral and social ambiguities we inhabit. Over this foundation, I build layers in oil or digital paint. I use light not only to illuminate but to expose what hides in darkness - the imbalance between empathy and power, and the persistent struggles of survival, belonging, and social division.
My art serves as both voice and mirror, a visual language that asks questions with uncomfortable answers. Each piece invites viewers to pause, reconsider perspectives, and engage in this dialogue through their own interpretation. At its core, my work weaves natural symbolism and social commentary to evoke empathy and reframe our place within the living world.
